Our Resident Movie Critic
Andrew is the official movie critic of the Chat-n-Chew. At age nine, he knows what he likes and is happy to share his opinions about what's new on screen. He tells it like it is, and won't bore you with heavy-handed critiques involving interpretations of
symbolism, characterization, or subplot. He absolutely hates filme noire! When he's not doing film reviews, Andrew goes to school. He enjoys playing baseball and hockey, ice skating, and the Sound Tigers. Andrew collects replicas of medieval weaponry and Yugioh cards. His favorite authors are Joan Hiatt Harlow, J.K. Rowling, Avi, Lemony Snicket, and Dav Pilkey.
You too can be a movie critic! If you've seen a movie that you'd like to review for the Chat-n-Chew gang, email your thoughts to us! Stop by to see what your friends and neighbors are

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review by Andrew
I give this movie 5 chat-a-ccinos because I think it was the best Harry Potter movie yet! In the movie there was a Tri-Wizard tournament and Lord Voldemort returns! Harry gets to see his parents and he even battles with a dragon.
This movie was kind of scary too with the Death Eaters. You should be at least 7 years old to see it or you might get really scared.
Wallace and Gromit Review by Andrew
This movie gets 4 and 1/2 Chat-a-ccinos. It was a funny movie because there were some butt jokes in it. But I only gave it 4 and 1/2 chats because a few of the parts in the movie were not needed and it wasn't as good as it could have been. It's funny and has action but there's stupid lovey-dovey stuff in it. Kids and grown-ups will both like it.
Because of Winn Dixie Review by Andrew
I liked this movie because it was funny and the dog was playful. The best part was when Winn Dixie knocked over the Dump Punch on his head. I give the movie five chat-a-cchinos but I would have to say that the book was better.
Are We There Yet? Review by Andrew
This movie was funny. I liked it when the guy was on the ice fighting a snowman and when the kids were playing tricks on the people who tried to date their Mom. But there were also a few boring parts. People of all ages will enjoy it-but I only give it three
chat-a-cchinos.
Lemony Snicket's Unfortunate Events Review by Andrew
I give this movie four chat-a-ccinos. It was fine but it wasn't my favorite movie. The kids in it were good-Violet had big lips, Sunny looked funny, but Klaus was good. He saved everybody. Count Olaf was scary and evil.
The Incredibles Review by Andrew
It was GREAT! I would give it a hundred chat-a-cchinos. You will like when Mr. Incredible threw the monster's giant claw right back at him. There was a giant robot on an island that escaped from the place where they were making it. Mr. Incredible had to destroy it by shutting down its system. This is an action movie. Go see it with a friend-it is fun!
Yugioh: The Movie Review by Andrew
This movie is really good. It had scary stuff in it like mummies. Yugi and Kaiba had a duel. Kaiba had the blue eyes shining dragon!
I give this movie five chat-a-ccinos. Kids and teenagers will like it. Grown-ups, maybe not.
Shrek II Review by Andrew
I liked this movie and you will like it too! Shrek II is even better than the
first Shrek. There is a new character in the movie, Puss 'N Boots. He has very
sad eyes and when people say,"Look at the cute kitten," he pulls out his sword!CHING! CHING! SWISH!!!Donkey says a lot of funny things in this movie. I highly recommend it for kids and adults. It is a funny comedy and I give it five chat-a-cchinos.
Ella Enchanted Review by Andrew
Ella Enchanted gets the gift of obedience from her fairy godmother. But she wants to get rid of it! This movie is kind of girly but boys will like the battle scenes. There's a battle when the bad guys and the servants fight the crowd. You better see the movie if you want to know who wins. I give this movie four chat-a-ccinos because the love scenes are really girly.
Hidalgo Review by Andrew, now 7 years old
People will not like this movie because a horse almost gets killed. I didn't like that part. It's about a race. When they were racing the girl said, "Kill his horse." They set traps and there was shooting and stuff. The horse gets in a trap. And a guy got him with a spear. But the horse gets better. I almost give this movie 5 chat-a-cchinos except that the horse got hurt. It has a lot of action and some violence.
Cheaper by the Dozen
Review by Andrew, age 6 1/2
I liked Cheaper by the Dozen. My cousins came with me. My favorite part was when the big kid and the younger kid battled and the little kid beat him up. And a frog jumped on the table and the food went everywhere. You will like to see this movie because it is a comedy and it has a little bit of action in it. I give this movie 5 chat-a-cchinos because it was a comedy.
